DESCRIPTION:By the name of 'Design by Fire' Chi Nederland, the Dutch local 
 chapter of ACM SIGCHI, organizes an international conference on interaction
  design. The event offers an inspiring stage for interaction, information, 
 interface and experience designers.\n\nAfter the success in 2007 a second
  edition was inevitable. We are very pleased with the speakers on the progr
 am for this year:\n\n:: Brendan Dawes (Creative Director for magneticNort
 h, UK) will take care of an inspiring keynote titled 'C30, C60, C90, GO!'. 
 \n\n:: August de los Reyes, Principal Experience Architect for Microsoft 
 Surface, will share his expertise in designing for natural user interfaces.
 \n\n:: Marthijn Pool, senior project architect at ONL (NL) will introduce
  their groundbreaking interactive architecture.\n\n:: Thomas Küber, Inter
 action Designer at D-LABS (D), will show the results of their 'Design Led I
 nnovation' approach.\n\n:: Gert Hans Berghuis, founder of Fabrique Commun
 ication & Design (NL), will discuss the art of designing for user generated
  content.\n\n:: Jonathan Arnowitz, User Experience Architect with Google 
 will talk about creativity, innovation and design in a world of technology.
 \nThere will be enough time for the audience to participate in a discussio
 n after each presentation.\n\nDesign by Fire 2008 will take place on Tues
 day 21 October in Media Plaza, Utrecht, The Netherlands. \n\nJoin 150 int
 eraction, interface, information and experience designers and be part of th
 is inspiring event. Early birds are rewarded with a 30 euro discount. Membe
 rs of IxDA and ACM SIGCHI are entitled to an additional discount.\n
