SUMMARY:Improving Online Work in Offline Companies
LOCATION:New York, New York, USA
DESCRIPTION:From microwaves to magazines, T-shirts to travel planning, the
average company focuses on offline concerns ahead of online ones. As a resu
lt, many web managers find themselves explaining their projects in addition
to doing them. A decade after the commercialization of the Internet, worki
ng online in an offline world still requires education, patience, and evang
elism. How can we accomplish this more quickly, efficiently, and effectivel
 y to benefit our work?
\n
\nWhat We’ll Cover
\nThinking strategically and p
ractically, we will explore some of the reasons offline professionals have
trouble relating to Internet initiatives. We’ll deconstruct why an online t
eam has an outsider, or renegade, feel, and discuss the methods for imparti
ng wisdom and gaining buy-in. Students will leave with new ideas and soluti
ons for making online concerns an everyday focus of a company.
\n
\nAbout D
 avid Wertheimer
\nDavid Wertheimer is an Internet marketing strategist with
