<full-description>From microwaves to magazines, T-shirts to travel planning, the average company focuses on offline concerns ahead of online ones. As a result, many web managers find themselves explaining their projects in addition to doing them. A decade after the commercialization of the Internet, working online in an offline world still requires education, patience, and evangelism. How can we accomplish this more quickly, efficiently, and effectively to benefit our work?

What We’ll Cover
Thinking strategically and practically, we will explore some of the reasons offline professionals have trouble relating to Internet initiatives. We’ll deconstruct why an online team has an outsider, or renegade, feel, and discuss the methods for imparting wisdom and gaining buy-in. Students will leave with new ideas and solutions for making online concerns an everyday focus of a company.
