<full-description>The International Institute for Information Design (IIID) in Vienna continues its highly successful Expert Forum Traffic & Transport Information Systems into the 4th year. Unsurpassed in its field, this year's event - Scheduled & on-demand transport: Envisioning information driven alliances - will re-define 'integrated transport' and to discuss traveller information as prominent key for a new era of mobility. The addressed re-definition shifts the focus from "transport" to "mobility" which implies an analoguous focus-shift from a provider's to a traveller's point of view.

The Expert Forum is geared to discuss market potentials, to promote successful initiatives in user-centered mobility schemes and to exemplify the key role of information to make people abandon traditional travelling habits in exchange for sustainable alternatives with a higher degree of freedom at reasonable or even lower costs.

IIID has opened our call for speakers. For information about our event and to view our call for speakers please visit http://www.iiid-expertforum.net.

<full-description>The International Institute for Information Design (IIID) in Vienna continues its highly successful Expert Forum Traffic & Transport Information Systems into the 5th year. Unsurpassed in its field, this year's event is focused on Real time information in multimodal transport networks. Real time information, enhanced by intelligent information design, can reduce experienced uncertainty, effectively diminishing the main reason why too many people rely only on their car for transportation.

The Expert Forum will focus on technical requirements and user preferences and how real time information can help determine the most convenient journey - which is often a combination of private and public transport.

In addition to the main conference, Innovations in traffic & transport information, is a special session focused on innovative projects and results beyond real time information. The session is geared to the interests of information managers, designers and educators whose professional focus is on traffic and transport information.

The call for speakers is open, and submissions will be accepted until 30 April 2010. For more information about the event, and details about the call for speakers, please visit the event website.</full-description>
